We Build Free Tools That Actually Fix Things
Fix My Speaker started with one dropped phone, one muffled speaker, and one question: why isn't there a simple browser tool for this?
The Origin
Fix My Speaker began with a straightforward problem. A phone was dropped in water. The speaker came out sounding muffled and distorted. The standard advice โ put it in rice for 48 hours โ produced no improvement. After researching how the Apple Watch Water Lock feature worked, the solution became obvious: acoustic vibration, the same principle the watch uses, should be deployable from any browser.
We built the first version that afternoon. It worked immediately. We put it online and the response was immediate and clear โ this was a problem millions of people faced regularly, and there was no good free solution for it. That is still true today, and Fix My Speaker remains the cleanest, most effective free option available.
What We Do
Fix My Speaker is a free, browser-based acoustic cleaning tool. It uses the Web Audio API to generate specific sound frequencies that cause your speaker's diaphragm to vibrate and physically eject water and dust from the speaker chamber. No download. No account. No payment. It works in any browser on any device โ iPhone, Android, tablet, laptop, or anything else with a speaker.
We also write practical, honest guides about speaker care, water damage recovery, and device maintenance โ because good information matters as much as a good tool.
Our Principles
- Always free. Fix My Speaker has been free since launch and will remain free. There is no premium tier, no subscription, and no plan to add one.
- Honest about limitations. We are clear about what Fix My Speaker can and cannot do. It handles water and debris. It cannot fix hardware damage, corrosion, or blown speaker drivers. We say this clearly and often.
- No unnecessary data collection. We collect standard anonymous analytics. We do not track what you do with the tool, and we do not sell data.
- Continuously improved. The tool is tested regularly across a wide range of devices and updated based on user feedback and technical improvements.
